Grace Lutheran Church
Wednesday, April 21, 2010
Grace Lutheran Church has been a landmark of downtown Green Bay for over 100 years. On December 18, 1908, 19 men and women gathered in a small, drafty, weather-beaten, wooden church on the corner of Madison and Moravian Streets and with the assistance of Reverend Paul F. Hein, the Executive Officer for the Home Mission Board of the Joint Synod of Ohio and Other States, drafted a temporary constitution to create Grace Lutheran Church.
Today the church still stands where it had been founded, in 1915. Grace is involved with many outreach programs within the community and through the ELCA. more »
